The Doctor – Ink Sketch

To round off the week and as a companion to the Ice Warriors on Wednesday we have 'The Doctor' as played by the great Jon Pertwee. Jon made a great Doctor, very flash, all frilly shirts, smoking jackets and capes. Very fond of 'reversing the polarity' of various items, and a very active (Jon often did his own stunts) Doctor the early 1970s saw Doctor Who face a variety of strange and colourful (the series was in colour for the first time) monsters.

Its very easy to like Jon's Doctor as Jon Pertwee was such a likeable person. Check out this Wogan show from 1989 where Sir Terry interviews the lovely Jon.
